Barry Brazier, M.A. (Psych)
Barry has over 30 years experience working in the field of developmental disabilities and the recipient of the Premier's Award of Excellence from the Province of Alberta for recognition of his ingenuity, initiative and commitment in meeting the needs of developmentally delayed individuals.. Barry is an expert in development of behavioural treatment plans and monitoring non-restrictive practices. Barry has a M.A. in Psychology from the University of Manitoba. Barry also has an interest in research and has been published numerous times on a variety of topics relevant to the field of developmental disability.
 
Johanna Burko BSc, BEd
Johanna has been a Social Worker with Government since 1979. She spent nine years with Child Protection Services, and one year in Victoria with the Policy Branch. Since 1989, she has been working with people with Developmental Disabilities in her role as a Social Worker with Community Living Services, and recently as an Analyst with CLBC. Her passion is "core wound" and "self-awareness" work which she does regularly as a facilitator with the "Insideout Leadership Development Group". Johanna teaches at Okanagan College in Vernon, in the "Special Needs Worker" Certificate Program.
 
Grace Grahm BA, MEd
Grace Graham has been a clinical counsellor for 9 years. She completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Her areas of specialization have been substance addiction and mental health crisis response. Before becoming a counsellor Grace worked with adults and youth with special needs. She has been a personal care giver, group home recreation coordinator, ADL teacher for children with Autism and volunteer counsellor for students with physical disabilities.
 
Magdalen Mak, PhD
 Dr. Mak is a psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing psychological assessment, treatment, and counselling in a variety of settings, including private practice, health facilities, as well as public and government agencies. Dr. Mak’s practice follows a holistic approach, incorporating mental, physical, and emotional components to target outcomes, skills development, and positive change. Her treatment modalities include cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, coaching, and mentoring, and solution-focused counselling and problem-solving.

She has worked with a great variety of issues, including trauma in the workplace, health management, conflict management and adjustment issues. Dr. Mak is a licensed practitioner of psychology, registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia, and is a member of the British Columbia Psychological Association.
 
Randine Mariona MA. BSW
Randine has 18 years of social work experience.  Randine has provided years of residential care and recreation programming for individuals with developmental delays.  Randine is an instructor at Thompson Rivers University in the Human Service Program and has held positions as a parent consultant and alcohol and drug counselor.  Randine’s grad school studies focused on promoting and sustaining healthy attachment relationships.  Randine studies under Dr. Gordon Neufeld to enhance her knowledge of how attachment needs affect behavior.
 
Lyn Richards, MA, R.Psych
Lyn is a Registered Psychologist specializing in areas such as brain injury, neuropsychological disorders, mood disorders and rehabilitation. Lyn is experienced in most treatment and assessment modalities. Lyn completed her graduate studies at Simon Fraser University.
 
Pete Smith, RPN
Pete has worked with developmentally disabled youth & adults for 40 years in various settings: since 1984 in community care providing staff training, behavioural guidance, crisis intervention; since 1991 in assessing & helping diagnose mental illness in this population and developing & carrying out treatment plans. Pete is a registered psychiatric nurse with specialized training in the United Kingdom in developmental disability.
